Making a heart using basic embroidery

  • Textile Art Community Art Space (TACAS) 26 Orthla Avenue Heidelberg West, VIC, 3081 Australia (map)

Join the multi talented Louise Muller for a relaxing afternoon learning some basic embroidery stitches. No prior experience is needed. There are 10 places available.

Come and learn some basic stitching, including chain stitch, seed stitch, running stitch, and back stitch. You will be working on a small piece of fabric to learn and practice stitches, then embellish a felt heart to keep as a pin cushion, magnet, bookmark, or memory prompt in your pocket to reflect on someone dearly departed.  Or give it away to someone you care about.

Location: Textile Art Community Art Space, 26 Orthla Road, Heidelberg West, VIC 3081.

Price: $25 per session for the public, $20 for TACAS members. Includes all materials, equipment and light afternoon tea.

Louise runs a Stitching Interest Group on Monday evenings monthly where you can continue your development. It will resume in June 2024.
